4. How to include help file into Delphi IDE help system?

To include a help file into Delphi IDE help system environment and make it available in design time you need to make several steps:

· Run Borland Delphi, select item Help | Customize... from main menu and run OpenHelp utility than.

· Choose Index tab to include index information from your Help file into Delphi common help system. Pick Edit | Add Files from menu or press Alt+E+A key combination on the keyboard and then select required .hlp file in the File Open dialog and press OK.

· Choose Link tab and do the same to include all your help topics into the Delphi help system as well.

· If you have a Table Of Contents file to include then go to Contents tab and add your .cnt file.

· Select File | Save Project from menu or use Alt+F+S keys on the keyboard to save the changes you made and close the OpenHelp utility.

The included help file will be available immediately within Delphi IDE. To test it select the component you want to get help on it and then press F1 or just select a part of text in the Delphi editor and press Ctrl+F1.
